Debate Team forming

After a 42 year absence, Debate is coming back to Fergus Falls Schools! We will have our first MSHSL Debate team since 1976. It will be amazing!

We will be competing this year in a type of debate known as Congress, where contestants author, debate, caucus, and pass legislation. In future years we hope to compete in the other types as well: Lincoln Douglas (traditional debate), Policy Debate and Public Forum.

We are looking for 7th through 12th grade students interested in debate, learning how government works, logical arguments, and critical listening. Also, we will be in need of parent/volunteer support on occasion.

We will be having our organizational meeting shortly after school starts. If you want more information or to get your student registered, please contact Coach Donoho at or 998-0544 ext. 9648.

Go Otters!

STEM Academy students produce “Dream It, Do It” promotional video

STEM Academy students Syanne Jepson and Declan Young produced a “What’s Cool About Manufacturing” video for a contest sponsored by Dream It Do It.

Follow this link to view the three videos submitted to the competition.  One features Team Industries done by Frazee students, one is about Sputnik Robotics out of Moorhead, and our team’s video about Aura Fabricators, right here in Fergus Falls.

After watching all three videos, vote for your favorite by clicking on the circle to the left of the video. Then click on “Vote” at the bottom of the screen. Voting is open April 17-April 30, 2018. You can vote once every 24 hours. If you think of it, visit and vote EVERY DAY in April!

Winners will be announced in May.
